Gettin' Ready

I have to wonder how many people are noticing the grooming of Jeb that is going on. If you remember, when then Governor "W" was debating for the presidency, his biggest hurdle was lack of international experience. Recently, Jeb has been involved very deeply with the tsunami disaster and recently been involved with the Pope deal.

My first thought is, "The people would *never* elect Jeb as president..." But then, I thought that about W, too. I sure hope folks won't elect Jeb! Geez.

Jeb is most likely getting the grooming for his hopes for a senate race in mid term elections (2006). There's too much heat around the bush family and the war. His approval ratings were the worst for any consecutive term president and they are still dropping. The republicans will need a new image to continue to rule.

Personally i've liked arnold and rudy. Unfrotunately (or fortunately) the deciding factor in the last election was the evangelical christians who have now become the center of the party. There is no way either would make it, not even mentioning the lack of US birth for arnold.

Meanwhile, McCain has been selling himself out (was a rebel at one point) for a potential run, but again, he is just that, a rebel. Bush dragged him through the mud in the 2000 primaries, I can't see him running. (also senators tend to fair poorly in presidential elections)

The only thing you can be sure of is probably condi and perhaps rudy as VP. The prez candidate will most likely be a social conservative govenor from the southern states.

I hope you don't mind me posting, I found my way here via Arya's blog, I'm a good friend of his...seems like we have a mutual interest in politics ;)
