Three Strikes and You're Out
With all the recent controversy of steroids and baseball players, baseball commissioner Bud Selig is now asking for a 50 game suspension for first time offenders, 100 game suspensions for second offenses and a lifetime ban for third offenses. Personally, I am all for it. I really don’t think the players union will go for it though. Isn’t it also ironic that this year Barry Bonds is too tired, mentally and physically to play? Perhaps he will call it quits before he has to test for steroids and subject himself to being banned from the game.

I would laugh if the players union came back with a proposal to subject first-time offenders to a 100 game suspension...and the offender's team to a $10 million fine. Wonder how bold and forceful Selig would be then.
It's amazing that Major League Baseball is even making the NFL look good. Perhaps our mutual friend Splunchy should replace Selig.
Hi, thanks for the blog comment :)
I didn't even know anyone was reading it. Your blog is interesting too, a point of view on America today.

Yea, what about Pete? Guy gets a lifetime ban for a little gamblin? While these other guys exploit the game by the use of illegal drugs?? I don't get it! Yea, Bud is an iniard!
I'm glad I'mnot the only one who feels this way about Pete Rose. There seems to be a personal vandeta against him.
i find it particuarly interesting that most, if not all of the games sluggers are embroiled in something of a slump in regards to homeruns this year. could it be that they were lying about having not taken steroids? hmmmmm? thanks for visiting my site, too. feel free to come back anytime. www.leftfieldperspectives.blogspot.com
